Petals on White

I've been playing with the White Box again. This time a Gaillardia (aka Blanket Flower) was my subject.

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
~e.e. cummings, 1955

The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another.
~James Matthew Barrie

If you cannot be a poet, be the poem.  ~David Carradine

i think i need to do a white box - not for photos like these, per se, but to take pics of my drawings each month without glare/interference, etc. hmmm...

these are really lovely.

I love that last shot. What's the white box? Is this a picture editing thing? Sorry if this is a silly question.
